I’m Sophie, last name Whitehead (hence the blog name, get it?). I’m a 28-year-old writer working at a recipe box company in central London. I’m lucky enough to travel around with my fiancé Matt, with my friends, and with my rather large family, seeing amazing countries and – my absolute passion – eating delicious food.
I started wunderhead in February 2018 after a trip to Seville with Matt. I was telling everyone about how fantastic it was and all the reasons why they should immediately book plane tickets to this wonderful city, when it suddenly hit me – I should be writing this stuff down! As a copywriter at a food brand I write every day, but I’d been looking for a creative outlet where I could write about something different, just for me. So I started this blog!
Here you’ll find weekend trips, city breaks, family jaunts and group holidays with friends, and I may even treat you to some days out from London too.
My glamourous cousin Laura works at a fashion label in Chelsea, when she’s not exploring far flung places with her husband Tom C in search of good surf. If you’re all very lucky I’ll keep persuading her to part with her tropical travel tips – read her first guest post, The Honeymoon Guide to Morocco!
Follow her adventures at home and abroad on Instagram.
Tom’s holidays always involve surfing. That’s only a small exaggeration. He’s currently living in London with his wife (my cousin) Laura, working at a tech start-up and drafting up his first guest post for me about Bali.
Check out his Instagram for more pics of their travels.
My jetsetting cousin Tom W is currently based in Jordan with his wife Gabbi, where he’s involved in social enterprises like Shantet Sabaya, empowering women to explore creativity, generate an income and promote sustainable practices within Talbieh refugee camp. You can be sure his travels will never leave out food or music.
As previously mentioned, Gabbi is living in Jordan with my cousin Tom W, where she is definitely a spy (kidding). She’s great with a camera and you can see some of her photos on my family holiday posts about Cyprus and Majorca.
You can see what Gabbi’s up to on her Instagram.
